Advanced Technology Systems was awarded a $11.9 million contract from Department of Homeland Security. It came up in my Yahoo alerts for XML. The announcement mentioned something about XML application and I went to check the site. ATS provides a product called Pyramid Application Suite. This is a .NET based application suite that contains software for Message Routing and a Knowledge Solution. Both of them use XML as the underlying technologies.
XML based messaging and applications are slowly surfacing. XML is becoming the defacto format for data interchange.
